The Day of Love

Happy Valentine’s Day! I am the biggest hopeless romantic there is and I am sure I am not alone in this. I wanted to write a quick post about love. Whether you are in a relationship, single or recently heart broken I hope you remember love comes in so many forms. Celebrate the love between friends, family and most importantly yourself today.

I know this time of year can really affect each of us differently. There is no problem with being single or alone on this day. Love yourself enough to know you deserve everything you want and what truly is yours will be yours. You shouldn’t have to beg for someone’s attention, feel insecure or make excuses for someone that isn’t ready. You were fine before you met them, honey you were thriving.

To the hopeless romantics out there like me: we love BIG. With all our hearts I know. It consumes us and it feels as if we are always giving and not getting what we give back in return. You probably have sat there and thought: “Maybe I am meant to give more love than I will ever receive.” I refuse to believe that. There is a love out there we envision. Attract your worth and do not settle. When you have this mindset it is incredible all the good things that will follow.

To the ones that are lost: I hope you find your way. Do not believe you do not deserve someone because you are lost and need to find yourself. You are doing such a disservice to yourself. I hope you realize you can be with someone who motivates you to find your way and that you do not to do it on your own.

For those that are scared of commitment: Take a leap of faith. Relationships should be easy but it requires a lot of work to not give up, to choose that person everyday, compromises and sacrifice. If you are not ready to do any of those things, do not stay. The person you are with deserves full effort. It is not another person’s responsibility to make sure you are ready, it is solely yours. Be responsible, be accountable.
