Headshot Heaven

I wrote the post below some time ago waiting for the perfect time to publish it. Today is bittersweet as I move out today and leave this beauty behind. Two years flew by just like that. They say you never truly know someone until you live with them- I must say this is very true. You get to see someone in the their natural habitat without their guards up. You see them everyday wether it is a good or bad day. It has been a pleasure coming home to her everyday. You are a beautiful soul with one of the most caring hearts I have come across. This is not goodbye, living with each other has made our friendship stronger. Even though I will still see you I just want to say thank you and I love you.

Gah the tears!

Always wanted amazing self-portraits of yourself? I know the concept of photoshoots scare some people- myself included. I want a photographer I feel comfortable with and can make the experience fun and light-hearted. I am very fortunate to have my roommate be such an incredible photographer. Calyssa has an amazing energy and real creative eye. Her work speaks for itself. Here are some pictures for you to gander on. We shot these in our very own home and under 30 minutes! She will have another head shot promo soon. Her last one was such a success, don't miss out. Which picture is your favourite? I would love to know xo

The Slayer

Who loves graphic tees? They are so easy to wear and style up if you need to. I wore this t-shirt with my new fav over the knee boots from Public Desire. Hope you enjoy this look.

A Happy Birthday

Another year older. Another year wiser. If I could give advice to my 26 year-old self last year I would tell her:

1. Don't sweat the small stuff.

I have such a hard time letting go but I would tell my younger self:

Stop trying to control everything in your life and what's around you. You can't control everything. You will cause yourself so much unneeded stress.

2. Be patient

Even though you believe you deserve something doesn't mean it will be yours right away. Good things take time. Everything should be a natural progression not forced.

3. Be grateful

It is so easy to compare yourself to others and to society pressure/norms. It can make you feel as if where you are in life is not much in comparison to others. Stop this negative thinking. Appreciate everything you have in life because there are so many people that are not fortunate as you

4. Love yourself

You are good enough. As you grow older and your physical body changes that should not change your inner peace within yourself. It's ok if you've gained some weight. The curves look good on you. It's ok if people misjudge you or have preconceived notions about you. You know the truth, you know who you are. Only the people that truly know you and love you know your true self and that's all that matters. Really it's the only thing that does. Love yourself so much that no one on this earth could love yourself more. There is so much strength in that
